 but_grad  Gradient Fill

The Gradient Fill element can be used to draw circle, ellipse, rectangle, round rectangle, (/ and \ ) lines. Within the pre-defined shape, you can fill the color between two shape band. The gradient fill color will be drawn from one shape band to other shape band.

The following examples are different shapes which are drawn by the Gradient Fill element. The yellowish white background (Rectangle) is also drawn by the Gradient Fill tool.

Gradient Fill Coordinate:

The Gradient Fill Coordinate box is used to define the X-Y coordinate and dimension of the canvas to form the Gradient Fill.

Banding Shape1:

Banding Shape1 is used to define the X-Y coordinate, dimension and color of the first shape. If you select a round rectangle from the Gradient Fill Coordinate. There is a Radius Box for you to define the corner radius of the round rectangle.

Banding Shape2:

Banding Shape2 is used to define the X-Y coordinate, dimension and color of the first shape. If you select a round rectangle from the Gradient Fill Coordinate. There is a Radius Box for you to define the corner radius of the round rectangle.

Please note that you can define different radius of a round rectangle from 1 to 999. There is a rectangle if the radius is 1 whereas there is a circle/ellipse if the radius is 999.

The following options are available:

Type of shape:

    • Ellipse / Circle
    • Rectangle
    • Round Rectangle
    • / Line (Option). The user can use Free Line Tool instead
    • \ Line (Option). The user can use Free Line Tool instead.

Radius:

The corner of a round rectangle shape can be set with different radius from 1 to 999 unit. If the radius is 1 unit, the round rectangle will become a rectangle. If the radius is 999 units, the round rectangle will become a circle.

Brush:

    • Style: different styles to fill a circle or rectangle
    • Color: the color that is used to fill the shape

Pen:

    • Mode: various line drawing modes
    • Style: solid, dotted or dashed lines
    • Width: line width of the shape.

Note: There is a pixel missing when forming a gradient fill. To fill with a better gradient fill color, you need to set the pen width 3 units or more to get a better fill.
